Hunger Action Month

September 2026

This September, our community is taking action against hunger — and you can help!

Every September, communities across the country come together for Hunger Action Month, a nationwide effort to raise awareness about hunger and food insecurity and inspire people to take action.

At The Pantry, we know that hunger is not an abstract problem. It affects our neighbors, families, seniors, and individuals right here in Northern Westchester.

This Hunger Action Month, we are bringing our community together in a fun and meaningful way — with local businesses opening their doors and inviting their customers to help fight hunger.

When you support one of our participating businesses, you are not only shopping, dining, or enjoying something special. You are helping provide nutritious food to your neighbors through The Pantry.

Eat Local. Support Local. Fight Hunger Local.

HOW YOU CAN TAKE ACTION

Dine. Drink. Shop. Give Back.

Throughout September, our local business partners will be offering special promotions that benefit The Pantry.

Support a participating business. Bring a friend. Tell your neighbors. And help us turn everyday purchases into meaningful action against hunger.

Every Pizza Helps!

When you purchase a Pizza Girls pizza at the oHHo The Old Firehouse, a portion of the sale will be donated directly to The Pantry.

So grab a pizza, bring home dinner, and help provide food for local families at the same time!

Good food. Good neighbors. Good cause.

Fight Hunger with a Pint!

Back by popular demand for Year Two, The Ambleside Pub has created a special cask blonde ale called “Fight Hunger” to benefit The Pantry.

Throughout the entire month of September:

  • $11 full pint → $2 donated to The Pantry

  • $6 half pint → $1 donated to The Pantry

And there's a fun fact to know: Ambleside's full pints are 4 ounces larger than a traditional American pint!

Raise a glass, support a local business, and help us Fight Hunger right here in our community.

Round Up for The Pantry

When you visit oHHo the Old Firehouse, you can help fight hunger simply by rounding up your purchase at the register.

For the next year, all round-up contributions will support The Pantry and our mission to provide nutritious food to our neighbors in need.

A few cents can add up to make a big difference!
